Description
The Battle of Britain takes its name from the speech given by Prime Minister Winston Churchill to the House of Commons on 18 June 1940: “What General Weygand called the ‘Battle of France’ is over. I expect that the Battle of Britain is about to begin”.
This is a bespoke tour
The cost – includes breakfast, hotel accommodation, coach, museums and guide, but not food and drinks. – is £1,435 per person. Please note that this is the cost of a single occupancy in a single room as we wish to be open with the all-inclusive costs. A discount of 10% is available for bookings with two people sharing a room.

Steve qualified as a Guild of Battlefield Guide in 2004, having left the RAF in 2003, where he served for 18 years as an RAF Police NCO at various bases in the UK and abroad.

DAY 1
Meet at 09.00 at: The Hotel in Kent
Coach to: Graveney Marshes and discuss the events of 27th September 1940
Coach to: Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum at Manston with an overview of the station in August 1940.
Lunch at: The Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum
Coach to: Margate CWGC Cemetery and visit RAF and Luftwaffe Casualties
Return to Hotel
Dinner at: The Hotel
Day 2
Breakfast at: The Hotel
Travel to: St Mary Cray Cemetery and discuss the events of 30th August 1940
Travel to: Towerfields at Keston
Travel to: Leaves Green and see the site of the Dornier crash.
Travel to: RAF Biggin Hill and discuss the events of 4th September 1940
Lunch at: The King’s Arms at Biggin Hill
Travel to: RAF Kenley and visit the old site of RAF Kenley and discuss the 9th Staffel attack of 18th August 1940.
Travel to: Whyteleafe Cemetery
Return to hotel
Dinner at: The Hotel
Day 3
Breakfast at: The Hotel
Travel to: RAF Hawkinge and visit the Battle of Britain Museum.
Lunch at: The Jackdaw pub at Denton
Visit: Hawkinge Cemetery
Travel to: Capel Le Ferne and visit the Battle of Britain Memorial.
Return to the hotel

Breakfast at: The Hotel and check out
Travel to: RAF Uxbridge and visit the 11 Group bunker at RAF Uxbridge
