Jonathan Crowe

Jonathan has been living and working as a tour guide in France for almost 10 years.

The first time his history degree from University College London has been relevant!

In a previous existence he worked in Theatre, and then Marketing for many major corporations – writing video scripts, speeches, and multi-media material.

He now greatly enjoys passing on information and sharing his passion for the Normandy region – Vikings, Normans, chateaux, castles, churches, cathedrals,

And, of course, the D-Day landings and the history of World War 2 in Normandy. It is a privilege to keep the memory alive of those who gave their lives to liberate Europe.

His family has owned the farmhouse they now live in for nearly 40 years so they are almost accepted as ‘locals’.

Jonathan is proud to be an official guide conférencier de France and a qualified interpreter with the National Association of Interpreters from the USA, and the vice-president of the Normandy Battlefields Tour Guides Association.
