Tour Types

Each tour has its own separate itinerary laying out clearly where you are staying with address and telephone number and where you are having breakfast, lunch and dinner. What you will be visiting and the fitness level required together with details of the tour guide and for some tour’s, the tour leader. Where you should meet at the beginning and end of the tour with timings. Also, emergency information, with a note of local hospitals, and police  Lastly the cost of the tour and what is included and what is not.

We go to great lengths to ensure that the hotel is in keeping with the tour’s character whilst providing a high quality and comfortable stay. Therefore the majority of the hotels are four-star or above.

Breakfast is served in your hotel each morning, lunches are light at a restaurant or picnic lunches at a scenic location.  The evening meals restaurants are handpick for their food and location. We do ask if you have any dietary requirements to let us know so we can plan the dinner accordingly. We tend not to include the cost of alcohol in our tours as it is up to the individual to determine the price and the amount.

The average tour size is between 15 to 20 people, which is perfect for the group to gel and get the most out of the guide. However, we have done specific group tours for 30 people as well as small family tours. We use modern, air-conditioned coaches which are in the main fitted with a WC together with a professional driver.

We follow this conflict from the early days of the Retreat to Dunkirk in 1940, though the Battle of Britain, the invasion of Normandy, the mistakes at Arnhem and Hurtgen Forest, the Germen offensive in the Ardennes and the final victory over Nazi Germany in May 1945. However, we do not forget the brave men of Bomber Command and the US 8th Army Air Force and the overlooked Italian campaign at Anzio and Cassino. Expert talks

Our monthly Zoom talks are designed to introduce you to a diverse range of subjects on military history throughout the ages. The talks last from 45mins to 60 mins followed by questions and all are on a Thursday evening at 6.00pm. The cost is £10 per person and full log in details will be sent to you on receipt of payment.
