World War II was by far the deadliest conflict in history, resulting in an estimated 70 to 85 million fatalities, which lasted from 1939 to 1945. It involved major powers of the Britain, America, Russia, Germany, Italy and Japan and altogether sixty countries took up arms.
We follow this conflict from the early days of the Retreat to Dunkirk in 1940, though the Battle of Britain, the invasion of Normandy, the mistakes at Arnhem and Hurtgen Forest, the Germen offensive in the Ardennes and the final victory over Nazi Germany in May 1945.
